The day has left me. Which sounds like the translation into Japanese of a Merchant Ivory film. Regardless I find myself here at work, stunned at the time and the rapid course of the day. Exhausted and unfulfilled. There was a touch of drama when my boss invited me to lunch, just the two of us. At the Taditch Grille. I thought I was going to be told that my services were no longer needed, that while yes, I can outperform at most of my tasks, those core values are left wanting. It doesn�t help that I hate the core values of this job with a passion that I normally reserve for Payless Shoes and Cherokee Brand. But instead of letting me down gently, it seems that the lunch was a way to assuage the guilt of my manager for being so hard on me over the past couple of weeks.

I felt really stupid.

And now, now I�m going to the lighting ceremony at Justin Herman Plaza with Sister and Husband then drinking with friends. And I must be very, very certain to catch the train home.
