Wow, what a big change! Good luck in the new location, and the new job!

Good luck. My husband has a former co-worker who took a job there several years ago now, is still there and they love it. Except the mormon thing, but then, there is something everywhere, isn't there? Conversely, it looks as if we are in your shoes, so to speak and that we will be relocating to SF from San Jose as you are moving out. It isn't sure yet, but it was supposed to be so two years ago, and now, for other reasons, it seems all but a certainty. We will probably know within days. Are you by any chance giving up an apartment in the Marina? wink, wink

Thank you for that compelling anecdote. Our lives are richer for it.

Chuckle...I don't know if I am ready for a home for bitter old people yet :) And I seriously doubt that would be a good environment for my 8 year-old anyway. But hey, thanks for the suggestion. The husband is insisting on the Marina, but I think I just may hold out for Marin, since we are leaving behind 4600 square feet and a pool and apartment living just may be TOO big of a culture shock. Even for the trade-off of living in the city.
